How It Started
It started with a cigar.
Not a special occasion. Not a celebration. Just a quiet evening, a decent Connecticut wrapper, and the realization that most of what was written about cigars online was either written by corporate marketing teams or guys who hadn’t actually lit one in six months.
We knew the space well enough to know the gap. So we decided to fill it.
Who We Are
We’re a small team in our late twenties and early thirties who take cigars and vapes seriously – but not so seriously that we’ve forgotten how to enjoy them.
Our editorial lead started with cigars. A Nicaraguan robusto at a friend’s place changed everything. From there it was a deep dive – different wrappers, different origins, different price points. A few years later, vaping entered the picture. Not as a replacement, but as its own world worth understanding properly.
That combination – cigars and vape, covered with equal respect and equal rigor — is what makes CigarBoxPro different from everything else out there.
What We Actually Do
We test products. We track regulations. We write content that respects the reader’s time and intelligence.
Every cigar review covers the full smoke – from cold draw to the final third. Every vape review gets real-world testing, not just a spec sheet rundown. Every guide is written the way we’d explain it to a friend – direct, practical, and without the unnecessary padding.
We cover the lifestyle too. The bourbon that pairs with a maduro. The cigars worth packing for a golf weekend. The FDA rulings that actually affect what you can buy. If it touches the culture around cigars and vaping, we cover it.
What We Don’t Do
We don’t accept payment for review scores or product rankings. If something isn’t worth your money, we say so – clearly and without hedging.
We don’t chase trends. We don’t write clickbait. We don’t publish content we wouldn’t read ourselves.
We do accept guest contributions from industry professionals and brands. All guest posts are clearly labeled so you always know what you’re reading.
